Welcome to the Grand Cafe de la Bourse, an unmissable gem located at 2 Boulevard Victor Hugo in the heart of Nîmes, France. Perched just a stone's throw from the iconic Nîmes Arena, this charming bar and café beautifully marries delectable cuisine with a scenic panorama. Whether you're in the mood for a leisurely lunch or a refreshing drink after exploring the rich local heritage, this venue is sure to impress.
As I settled into a table with a direct view of the ancient arena, I was immediately captivated by the ambiance. The vibrant energy of the location draws both locals and tourists alike, each eager to indulge in what the café has to offer. My choice for lunch was the gardiane de taureau, a delightful dish reminiscent of beef bourguignon. With each forkful, I was met with tender, juicy meat that practically melted in my mouth. It's a true testament to the culinary expertise here and showcases the restaurant’s commitment to local flavors.
Not just for the hungry, the Grand Cafe de la Bourse also serves as a perfect spot to unwind with a beverage. A colleague of mine stopped by for a beer and commented on the reasonable price for a 50 cl bottle of 1664, especially considering the prime location. Quick service ensured that the experience was as refreshing as the drinks themselves, even during the bustling post-Ferias period.
This combination of quality food, excellent service, and stunning views makes the Grand Cafe de la Bourse a standout destination in Nîmes. It's more than just a bar; it's a place where culinary artistry and local life converge, leaving you with a lasting impression. Don’t miss your chance to savor the unique flavors and vibrant atmosphere here!

We had lunch having a table with a view on the Nîmes arena. The food was tasty, I took the gardiane de taureau, which is close to beef bourguignon. The meat was juicy and melted in your mouth.

Stopped by for a beer and sat outside with a great view of the arena. 1664 (50 cl) was 6.80 euro. Not bad considering the location. All the other draught beers had run out as it was just after the Ferias and they were waiting for delivery. I am not surprised as it must be one of the closest bars to the arena entrance. Quick service.
